Bedrock Binder

DESCRIPTION:

Bedrock Binder is a 100% solids (solvent & water free), two component, structural epoxy, primarily used  for coating and resurfacing damaged concrete.  It is used for waterproofing and protecting floors against corrosion and deterioration caused by water, chemicals and heavy traffic.  

BASIC USES:

Bedrock Binder can be mixed with sand to make a trowelable mortar.  It can also be made into a flowable grout for filling holes or cavities. Bedrock Binder is also ideal as a binder coat for broadcast epoxy floors.  It can be applied by brush, roller or squeegee.  Various textures are available, ranging from skid-resistant to smooth.

INSTALLATION:

CLEANING: Area must be clean, sound and dry.  Conventional cleaning methods used are acid etching, shot-blast, or aqua-blast.  Dense concrete should be acid etched exposing small aggregate particles and giving the appearance of sandpaper.

 

PRODUCT MIXING:

  1.  Stir each component separately.

  2.  Blend 2 parts base to 1 part reactor by volume and mix completely.

  3. When preparing mortar, mix in 3-4 parts of aggregate by volume using a slow speed electric drill with paddle.

Resistant to mild acids, alkalies, detergents, solvents, skydrol, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, deicing salts, etc.
